I can’t seem to get a non-Window store version of Spotify installed. I used the download link from Spotify’s website…the link in your Quick Tips and that’s all I’m getting is the Window version.
by extension, because I can’t get the desktop app installed, I can’t get EQP working.

Spotify/windows has done something weird, so if you have gotten the store version installed once, the regular desktop version will automatically “upgrade”/migrate back to the store version on first launch.
If you have another machine with the regular version installed you can try this:

To install it you first have to uninstall the store version(maybe reboot) and install the desktop version.
